What a fantastic surprise and a great experience, spending the day with the Jetson® Spain team in Barcelona. We haven’t been talking too much about the Jetson® jetboards so far and what a mistake! Follow us and learn more about this company with a very comprehensive range of products available on the market, including assisted surfboards, paddle boards (SUP) and jetboards.

Today we met with the very helpful Jetson® team. The company is led by Íñigo Barrón and Ramón Silva, two expert innovators and surfing lovers who decided to create what is currently known as Jetson® since 2012. In close collaboration with Marcos Slash –”Spain’s second most important board maker–, they developed a revolutionary artisanal surfboard, achieving the final version of their highly evolved jet-propelled surfboard, far superior to the older US patents”. Today they had four boards on display: the paddleboard, the rescue board SOS for life savers and two surfboards. All the Jetson boards are assisted, so it’s not like if you go with the engine and only the engine .. for the paddle board, you still paddle but technically it’s quite a strong engine so you don’t have to.

A water propulsion lifeguard rescue board that combines low weight, high buoyancy, easy to recharge in standard wall socket and the extra water propulsion. “The rescue board is amazing, it’s really quite powerful for a paddle assisted board. You still have to paddle with your arms but we found it great, we were standing-up on it and riding like it was a jetboard, it’s much more powerful and faster than the Onean in fact. WARNING AND LIGHT INDICATORS : THREE GREAT FEATURES THAT ALL BOARDS SHOULD HAVE
The boards are very lightweight in comparison to other SUP and jetboards tested so far, also they have a few extra features such as a battery indicator light that shows you when your battery is running low, so while you are actually riding you can always monitor how low or high your battery is, and this is great. There is another warning light that would come on if something is stuck in your prop or jet pump and even switch off if something is actually about to harm the engine pump or the board. It’s got a heat gage as well, that’s letting you know if the board is getting too hot.

The surfboards assist you to get onto the wave, a bit like the Wavejet but much more powerful.
